I found this interesting article in on the BBC website about how North Korean envoys are refusing to send their children back to North Korea. The North Korean government wants the children sent back to prevent against defections.

Wow Grace - I can't imagine having to either bring only one child with me when I left the country or having to send at least one back. There is nothing that would separate you kids from me so I can't even fathom making those choices. At the same time, I'm sure these diplomats quickly become seduced by the better lifestyles they are afforded outside of North Korea! I also wonder about the people that are sent to check on these diplomats that refuse to do as the government says! I love you ----mom
