First Post!

So I'm actually not supposed to leave for Beijing until January 10th, but I was just dying to create this blog as soon as I had the time once I returned home to Maine after finals down at Maryland. I've actually been kind of busy with Christmas stuff, which is why I made this at around 1am this morning. Anyway, my break is pretty short, and I've got a lot to do before I go to China, including a brief trip to DC to celebrate Olympia Snowe's re-election and a few days out in LA to visit family I haven't seen in a while. It's slightly nerve-wracking, but these are exciting times, and I'm really looking forward to 2007!
